Jahra East Outfall 3/3/2017

I visited with my friend Bassel Jahra East Outfall last friday. First I made a mistake where to turn and this lead us to place where Bassel spotted Brown-necked Raven. Then we found our way to right direction and my friend spotted Stone-curlew. I struggled to see bird even that I knew the direction. We gave the pin to location but unfortunately others couldn’t find the the bird. After this we headed toward Jahra Pool Reserve. While still being in JEO area Bassel spotted Kurdish Wheatear. This bird were seen by others too. Our morning was quite nice indeed.

01/01/2017 with the first ever WP Big Yearers

This morning, it has been my privilege to meet the first ever Western Palearctic Big Year guys for the year 2017.

I will be guiding and helping them to access some birding site to achieve their goal to reach their target of 700 species in the year 2017. They are here for 16 days and planning to return to Kuwait in April as Kuwait becoming an important destination for bird watchers.

Today they saw 79 bird species including Crested Honey Buzzard, Hypocolius, Greater Spotted Eagle, White-tailed Lapwing, and Asian Desert Warbler. See their website http://www.bigyearwp.com/ and follow their progress as the year progress if you wish.
