13/09/2013 at Al Abraq and Jahra Pool Reserve

Today was the day for raptors to migrate. Mostly they were Steppe Buzzards but among them I saw with Wade Macpherson  some European Honey Buzzards and Pallid Harrier. Al Abraq was under heavy gun fire and it didn’t produce much. We saw 2 European Rollers, European Sparrowhawk, dead Black-shouldered Kite, few Ortolan Buntings and many Yellow Wagtails. On the way toward Jahra we saw the first flock of migrating Steppe Buzzards and I managed to photograph European Honey Buzzard. We saw loads more of Buzzards in Jahra Pool Reserve since they landed to drink.
