19/03/2016 at Al Abraq and Jahra Pool Reserve

This morning was a clear sign that spring migration has really begun. Most common migrants were Willow Warblers and Redstarts. However, there were many others too like Semicollared Flycatchers 3-4, Spotted Crake 2, Savi’s Warbler 1, Blue-cheeked Bee-eater 5 etc. At Jahra Pool Reserve I saw Short-toed Eagle, 4 White-tailed Lapwings and a flock of c. 100 Garganeys.
