20/03/2010 at Abraq Al Habari and SAANR

I visited once again Al Abraq with Brian this morning continuing to SAANR in the afternoon. Al Abraq yeldied one nice species for Brian, namely Alpine Swift, that I have already seen in Kuwait. Other good record was three Penduline Tits which we haven’t seen recently. Those birds are obviously migrating back North now. In SAANR we targeted 8 Demoiselle Cranes that we were informed by other Kuwait birders. We found the birds pretty quickly and photographed them with great pleasure. On the way there and back we saw at least 3 Lesser Kestrels. One more good record was Shikra in Tulha.
