I arrived at Al Abraq at 6:30 to find both Mike Pope and Khaled Al-Ghanem arrived 30 minutes ahead of me.
We moved around then stopped in the shade watching raptors as they come and go. Some drop to drink, some stay by the water resting and some pass overhead only. Within 3 hours we have seen 10 raptor species.
It is interesting to see two juvenile Crested Honey Buzzard in different morphs, dark and light morphs. We also had an Adult male Crested Honey Buzzard.
We also had a Black Kite. It is rare only mostly seen in Autumn migration, whereas Black-eared Kite arrive at the same time but many of them spend the winter in Kuwait.
