Kuwait Ornithological Rarities Committee — Rare Bird Report
Introduction:
This is a list of vagrant bird species that have usually been seen fewer than 15 times, or not recorded at all in over 10 years. If you see any of the vagrants on this list, please report it to the Kuwait Ornithological Rarities Committee (KORC) using the form below. Describe the bird as thoroughly as you can, especially the features that separate it from similar, more common species. If you have photographs, please upload them with your report. KORC members will review your sighting and get back to you with their decision by email.
How to fill in this form:
- Click inside the English Name field, then type the first two or three letters of the bird’s name and select it from the list — its scientific name will be filled in automatically. Click into the field without typing anything to see all 121 vagrant species currently awaiting KORC adjudication. If this is a first record for Kuwait, simply type the English name yourself.
- If you’re reporting a breeding record, tick the Breeding Record box at the top of the form. Spreading the news matters — this is also the place to confirm a breeding record for Kuwait’s birds under the committee’s supervision.
