12/12/2010 Jahra Farms and Jahra Pool Reserve
This is my last posting this year. I went in the morning to check Drongos at Jahra Farms. Yes they are still there and in fact I found them early morning in the same tree top where they were two days ago. I saw one redwing and a flock of 7-8 Grey Hypocoliuses as well. For me, however, the most exiting bird was Greylag Goose that flew over Ali’s farm. It was my first in Kuwait. Surprisingly soon after that I received a text message from Khalid Al Ghanem stating that the bird is in Jahra Pool Reserve. I drove quickly there and indeed Greylag Goose was showing itself very well. In JPR I saw also one Mustached Warbler and two Purple Swamp-hens.
