18/04/2017 at Fintas Park, Fahaheel & Zour Port

Short stop to Fintas Park produced second Rueppell’s Weaver and one more Basra Reed Warbler. Fahaheel Park was good for migrants but not yelding any specialities. In Al Kout’s watchtower we had our first White-cheeked Terns. After that Richard Jeffrey spotted Kittiwake which is third record for Kuwait if accepted by KORC. Photographing wise I got kind help by Guy Mirgain from Luxembourg taking pictures by using my mobile pohone and telescope. Then we moved on toward south and next to Saudi Chevron where we managed to see first very distant two Socotra Cormorants and finally relatively close one. In the meantime Neil Tovey reported about two Bridled Terns and Arctic Skua back in Al Kout so we decided to go there again. We managed to see 3 Bridled Terns very quickly and Arctic Skua. In addition to this we had also 4 White-winged Black Terns. Our day was pretty successfull.
