21/08/2022 migration started at Jahra Pools Reserve

Migration is picking up by now, more birds are showing up in Kuwait. I recently visited Jahra Pools Reserve, and most regular waders were seen, including Broad-billed Sandpipers, Greater and Lesser Sand Plovers, Terek Sandpiper, Green, and Wood Sandpipers, Common Ringed, and Little Ringed. Migrating birds include European Roller, Common Pratincole, Western Yellown Wagtail, Upcher’s Warbler, Bluethroat, and Spotted Flycatcher.

The highlight of the day was Savi’s Warbler and Egyptian Nightjar.
