Western Jackdaw is a new species to add to Kuwait’s list if accepted by KORC

This record was rejected by KORC, because it was found out that some sell it in the Instagram bird market, and for this reason it was deicded to not accepted.

Yesterday, I received a WhatsApp message from Mohammad Khorshed reporting a Western Jackdaw sighting at the Oxygen Gym in Sabah Al-Salem. I was fortunate enough to observe the bird myself. Should this be accepted by KORC, it will mark the first record for both Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf states.

Additionally, it’s notable that the Lesser Flamingo made its appearance at Kuwait Bay on Thursday, the 26th.
