19/01/2011 in North and some highights of the previous days

I’ve been birding with Linda and Paul from US  since 12.01 and Swedes Aron, Frida, Simon & Viggo from 14.01. We visited Khiran on 14.01 for Red-tailed Wheatear and we managed to see 2 birds and one Mourning Wheatear. On our way back to Kuwait City we stopped by Fahaheel Park which produced Woodlark. Swedish team scoped also 1 Swift Tern. We had with Linda & Paul 2 Macqueen’s Bustards and 4 Asian Desrt Warblers next day. On 16. Jan. we finally managed to see Hypocolius on Green Island thanks to Swedish team. After that success we visited Pivot Fields finding some nice species suchas Namaqua Dove, Pallid Harrier, Richard’s Pipit and Eastern Imperial Eagle. On 17. Jan. Swedish team went to Al Abraq finding 2-3 Buff-bellied Pipits, Great Spotted Cuckoo and relocated Hume’s Leaf Warbler. On 18.Jan we headed to North stoping by a farm on our way finding surprisingly one male Hypocolius. In Abdaly Farms we checked all traditional sites for Afgan Babblers without success. Swedish group continued the search after our departure finding Babblers and Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse.I continued with Swedes on19th in SAANR finding 3 Hoopoe Larks and 2 Finch”s Wheatears.
